Eisele Greenhouse is in its fifth generation of operation as a family business.  It was founded in the early 1900's in Richfield, Minnesota by Christ Eisele.  Crops in the early years consisted of greenhouse and field produced vegetables which were sold at the Farmer's Market.  This practice was continued by second generation Clarence Eisele and third generation C. Pete Eisele until the late 1950's when market demands changed, and a transition from vegetables to bedding plant production began.

Clarence and Pete moved the business to its current location in Lakeville in 1965.  In the new location, bedding plant production increased and new crops such as mums and ornamental peppers were added.  Fourth generation and current owner, Greg Eisele, joined the business in 1980 and by 1982 the production of vegetables as a finished crop was fully phased out.  Two major crops, perennials and poinsettias, were added in the early 1990's and over 15,000 square feet of greenhouse space was built to accommodate the growing crop production and retail and wholesale needs.  We now have over 45,000 square feet of covered greenhouses along with outdoor space used for perennial and garden mum production.  In 2011, fifth generation Tim Eisele joined the family business along with the introduction of Minnesota hardy grape vines on the greenhouse property.

Our goal is to stay a small family-owned business that provides high quality products to its retail, wholesale and fundraiser customers. We invite you to visit us and buy direct from the grower!
